Azariah. This name is found in 2 Chronicles 26:1 ; 2 Chronicles 27:2 , as Uzziah; but in the Second Book of Kings it is found sometimes as Uzziah and sometimes as Azariah in the very same chapter (cf. 2 Kings 15:13 and 2 Kings 15:17 , 2 Kings 15:23 and 2 Kings 15:32 , and see Gesenius, 'Lexicon,' sub voce ) . We have the name as Azariah in Matthew 1:8 , Matthew 1:9 .
