Hakkoa The first half of this word is the definite article, as may be seen in Nehemiah 3:4 , Nehemiah 3:21 and Ezra 2:61 , where the name is found, as in the cases above, for the priest-family. Abijah (see again Nehemiah 10:7 ; Luke 1:5 ). To this course, therefore, Zaharias, father of John the Baptist, belonged.
