For Heldai , who belonged to Judah, see 1 Chronicles 11:30 , where the name appears as Heled , and 2 Samuel 23:29 , where it appears as Heleb. For Othniel (who was nephew and son-in-law of Caleb, and first deliverer of the people after Joshua), see Joshua 15:17 ; 3:9 . These twelve captains then come—from Judah seven, from Benjamin and Ephraim two each, and from Levi one.
