Acts 27:5 - Exposition
Across for over, A.V. ; which is off for of, A.V. ( τὸ κατὰ τὴν κιλικίαν . ) . Across the sea . When they got under the coast of Cilicia and Pamphylia, they found the northerly wind, as M. De Pages did, and that enabled them to take a westerly course to Myra, a seaport in Lycia. The modern Turkish name of Myra is Dembre.
