Amen . This verse repeats the source and cause of the moral degradation spoken of, which is described without reserve in what follows. " In peccatis arguendis saepe scapha debet scapha dict. Gravitas et ardor stilt judicialis proprietate verborum non violat verceundiam " (Bengel).
