Introduction
Overview
Psalms 145:1, David praises God for his fame; Psalms 145:8, for his goodness; Psalms 145:11, for his kingdom; Psalms 145:14, for his providence; Psalms 145:17, for his justice, holiness, and saving mercy.
This incomparable song of praise, which is the last of the acrostic or alphabetical Psalms, each verse beginning with a consecutive letter of the Hebrew alphabet, is supposed to have been composed by David towards the close of his life.
