1. The Lord appeared This is the sixth revelation of promise to Abraham. 1) The call and promise while yet in his father’s house.

And after this sixth revelation, and after Isaac’s birth, when God will test the patriarch once more, we have the seventh revelation in connexion with the offering of Isaac in the land of Moriah . Genesis 22:1-18. Thus the father of the faithful has a sevenfold revelation of promise and of prophecy .
