28. Cried Jesus Over the murmur and mutual disputation of the mixed multitude the voice of Jesus peals in one bold testimony to his own mission.
Ye both know me We do not here (like Stier and Alford) find any “irony;” but a firm affirmation that they knew his human, but not his divine origin. That during the testimony of John to Jesus, the parentage, descent, and birthplace of the latter should be made matter of inquiry and information we cannot doubt. Humanly, then, he was known to them.
