Term used to denote the Established Church of England; used more commonly by the High Churchmen than by the Low to imply that the English Church of the Reformation is the same as the Ecclesia Anglicana, as the Catholic Church is named in the Magna Carta. Anglican belief and practise and statistics are given under Church of England.
