(Hebrew: har-megiddo, mountain of Megiddo)
Mentioned in the Apocalypse, 16, as the scene of the battle which will be fought on Judgement Day, between the kings of the earth and the hosts of Almighty God. Authorities locate it at Mageddo (Hebrew: Megiddo, place of troops), fortified Chanaanite capital, east of the Plain of Esdraelon.
