(1610-1696) Franciscan theologian and historiographer; born Clonmel, Ireland; died Rome. He wrote theological works to defend the Scotist system, then generally attacked. In 1676 he was appointed historiographer by Cosimo de' Medici. His last work was a history of the Trinitarian Order from 1198 to 1297.
