Abbot; died c680 He was educated on the Continent and returning to England founded a monastery at Icanhoe, at times identified with Boston (Botulph's town), in Lincolnshire (hence Boston, Massachusetts). His name also survived in Bossal, Yorkshire; Botesdale, Suffolk; and Botolph, Huntingdon and Sussex.
