(May 16, 1578 - January 30, 1606) Father of Sir Kenelm Digby. Supporter of the Gunpowder Plot; died London. He was converted to the Catholic Faith by Father John Gerard, S.J., 1599. Although he did not join the conspirators until the eleventh hour, he was executed for treason.
