Author, born Saint Louis, Missouri, 1859; died Cincinnati, Ohio, 1928. He entered the Society of Jesus, and was ordained, 1893; became professor of English literature at Marquette College, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; directed the parochial schools of Saint Xavier's, Cincinnati; and wrote numerous books for boys, including "Tom Playfair," "His First and Last Appearance," "Mostly Boys," and "Percy Wynne."
