Profile Pioneer of Catholic journalism in Scotland. He was a solicitor to the Supreme Court in Edinburgh, but after his conversion he devoted himself to literature. He founded and edited the Edinburgh Catholic Magazine, and the Catholic Directory for England. Edited the Dublin Review for a short time, and was the author of several articles defending Catholic doctrine.
