Beth-nim'rah. (house of leopards). One of the fenced cities, on the east of Jordan, taken and built by the tribe of Gad, Numbers 32:36, and described as being in the valley beside, Beth-haran. Joshua 13:27. In Numbers 32:3, it is called simply Nimrah. The name still survives in the modern Nahr Nimrim, above Jericho on the Jordan.
