1. The son of Simeon, by a Canaanitish woman, Genesis 48:10; Exodus 6:15; Numbers 26:13; 1 Chronicles 4:24, and founder of the family of the Shaulites. (B.C. 1712).
2. One of the kings of Edom. 1 Chronicles 1:48-49. In the Authorized Version of Genesis 36:37. He is, less accurately, called Saul. See Saul.
