5. Why even small acts matter: A simple glass of water given in Jesus' name brings a reward—nothing is too insignificant, and faithfulness in little things leads to greater faithfulness 
 
6. The powerful truth of the Sheep and Goats judgment (Matthew 25:31-46): When we feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, clothe the naked, visit the sick or imprisoned, we are serving Jesus Himself. 
 
7. How to develop genuine compassion—not just for “easy” cases like suffering children in ads, but for the unlovable, difficult, and overlooked people around us. 
 
In this message, Pastor Robert unpacks key passages like 1 Timothy 6:17-19, where Paul instructs: “Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God... Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age.” 
 
Jesus promises rewards for even the smallest kindnesses, and in Matthew 25, He reveals that serving “the least of these” is serving Him directly—challenging us to love beyond convenience. Whether you're wealthy or not, this call is for every believer: Move from trusting in riches to investing in heaven through generosity and compassion.

Sermons and Bible teaching from Alistair Begg. Alistair has been in pastoral ministry since 1975. Following graduation from The London School of Theology, he served eight years in Scotland at both Charlotte Chapel in Edinburgh and Hamilton Baptist Church.
