Being around the house of God is not the same as being in the house of God.

Week 2 of IT'S TIME: God's Not Negotiating What's Next, Pastor Michael Todd on Rahab, Jericho, and the shift that doesn't require a prophetic word.

Here's the definition that anchors this one: a common sense shift is when you stop being loyal to something that clearly isn't working anymore. Some of us are fasting for a breakthrough when what we actually need is a decision. Great faith, more often than we admit, starts with common sense.

Rahab's house was built into the wall of Jericho — so when the wall came down, her house should have been the first thing to go. But the instruction wasn't get out. It was get everybody in the house. A scarlet rope in the window, a type and shadow of the Passover lamb. She looked, she listened, and she took a leap, and her whole family got saved because of one woman's common sense.

And Scripture never takes the word "prostitute" off her name in the hall of faith. Because you can be saved before you're sanctified. God isn't as concerned about where you are today as He is about where you're going.

When you get in the right house, three things happen: you get covering, you get connection, and your calling comes alive.

The street light is on. It's time to come home.
