<h3>Psalm 141</h3><h3>A psalm of David.</h3>141 <poetry>I call to you, <smallCap>Lord</smallCap>, come quickly to me; <indent>hear me when I call to you.</indent> </poetry> 2 <poetry>May my prayer be set before you like incense; <indent>may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice. </indent></poetry> 3 <poetry>Set a guard over my mouth, <smallCap>Lord</smallCap>; <indent>keep watch over the door of my lips. </indent> </poetry> 4 <poetry>Do not let my heart be drawn to what is evil <indent>so that I take part in wicked deeds </indent> along with those who are evildoers; <indent>do not let me eat their delicacies. </indent></poetry> 5 <poetry>Let a righteous man strike me—that is a kindness; <indent>let him rebuke me —that is oil on my head. </indent> My head will not refuse it, <indent>for my prayer will still be against the deeds of evildoers.</indent></poetry> 6 <poetry>Their rulers will be thrown down from the cliffs, <indent>and the wicked will learn that my words were well spoken.</indent> </poetry> 7 <poetry>They will say, “As one plows and breaks up the earth, <indent>so our bones have been scattered at the mouth of the grave.”</indent></poetry> 8 <poetry>But my eyes are fixed on you, Sovereign <smallCap>Lord</smallCap>; <indent>in you I take refuge —do not give me over to death.</indent> </poetry> 9 <poetry>Keep me safe from the traps set by evildoers, <indent>from the snares they have laid for me.</indent> </poetry> 10 <poetry>Let the wicked fall into their own nets, <indent>while I pass by in safety. </indent></poetry>
