7. Sound wisdom תושׁיה , ( tushiyyah.) The word is uncertain; it corresponds to sound doctrine. 1 Timothy 1:10; 2 Timothy 4:3. It may mean the essence, substance, or reality of things, as opposed to all merely seeming good. This verse is an enlargement of the idea of the preceding one, especially of the defensive conception of the latter clause of Proverbs 2:7. The way of his saints His pious, devout, or zealous ones.
