Zechariah 12:3. A burdensome stone, &c.— A stone of burden to all people: all that heave it, shall be crushed in pieces, &c. "And the chieftains of Judah shall say in their heart, the inhabitants of Jerusalem are my strength in Jehovah of hosts.""The chieftains of Judah ..." "These are the spiritual leaders among the people."[16] Since the strength of the "inhabitants of Jerusalem" comes only from God, the passage teaches that God is the sole strength and power of his people. read more
