Zac Poonen ( - Present)

God called brother Zac Poonen to a new work early on in his Christian experience. The movement is now called Christian Fellowship Churches where the New Covenant of New Testament Christianity is clearly preached.

Brother Zac Poonen has written 25 books most of them being on the deeper Christian life. Many of these have been translated into a number of languages and have been circulated widely around the world. (Beauty For Ashes) 2. The pathway to the Christ-life (I) : Being broken

Being Broken One of the verses which clearly describes the pathway that leads us out of our self-life into the full beauty of the Christ-life, is Galatians 2:20: "I am crucified with Christ; nevertheless I live. But it is no longer I that live but Christ Who lives in me." To us, this may be merely a... consulte Mais informação

(Beauty For Ashes) 3. The pathway to the Christ-life (II) : Being emptied

Being Emptied The way of the cross involves not only being broken but also being emptied. "It is no longer I", said Paul. He had allowed himself to be emptied of the "I", so that Christ might live and rule in him. Even Jesus emptied Himself when He came down from the Throne of God to the awful depth... consulte Mais informação

And we have also seen that the way of the cross - the way of being broken and being emptied - is the ... consulte Mais informação

(Exchanging our Self-life for Christ's life) 1. The corruption of the self-life

We can never enjoy deliverance from our self-life before we see something of its total corruption. Let us look at the elder son (in the parable in Luke 15), for he illustrates, perhaps better than anyone else in the Bible, the utter rottenness of the self-life. The younger son in the parable is usua... consulte Mais informação

(Finding God's Will) 1. God's plan for your life

Man's greatest honour and privilege is to do the will of God. This was what the Lord Jesus taught His disciples. He once said that only those who did His Father's will would enter the kingdom of Heaven (Matt. 7:21). He also said that His true brothers and sisters were those who did the will of God (... consulte Mais informação

(Finding God's Will) 2. Conditions for finding God's will

Divine guidance cannot be considered by itself apart from our personal relationship with God. Many desire the gifts but not the Giver. If we long for guidance but do not thirst for God Himself, we shall not obtain the guidance we seek. A person must be in fellowship with God in order to experience H... consulte Mais informação

(Finding God's Will) 3. Guidance through the inner witness

When we come to the subject of the means by which God guides us, we must bear in mind that Biblical principles are more important than the experiences of even godly men and women. God is not limited to work in any pattern we lay down. He is Sovereign and may at times choose to use the miraculous ins... consulte Mais informação

The Holy Spirit speaks to our spirits through the following external means also, when we are seeking His guidance:- (i) The teaching of the Bible. (ii) The witness of circumstances. (iii) The advice of other believers. If we have ascertained the will of God accurately, the witness of the Holy Spirit... consulte Mais informação

(Finding God's Will) 6. Final consideration

It should be evident to the reader by now that no perfect formula exists for infallible guidance. Very often we shall be faced with perplexity when seeking to know God's will. God permits this so that we may press closer to Him and thus know more of His mind and receive more of His life. Times of un... consulte Mais informação

(Gaining God's Approval) 1. Called, chosen and faithful

It is one thing to be accepted by God; it is quite another thing to be APPROVED by God. The Faithful Remnant The book of Revelation speaks of the triumph of the Lamb of God. In Revelation 14:1-5, we read of a small company of disciples who followed the Lord wholeheartedly in their earthly lives. In the New Testament, we read of One with Whom the Father was well-pleased, and also of a group of people with whom God was not well-pleased. A study of this contrast is most interesting.
