In our Gospel lesson for this Pentecost day, Jesus tells His disciples that once His mission on earth has been fulfilled, He will return to God the Father who sent Him, and that His return to the Father will be advantageous to them, because they, the Father and Son, will send these men their Spirit, to guide and protect them in their own great work for which Jesus has trained them to accomplish!
