Luke 12:1-5
1 In the meantime, when an innumerable multitude of people had gathered together, so that they trampled one another, He began to say to His disciples first of all, "Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. 2For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known. 3Therefore whatever you have spoken in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have spoken in the ear in inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.
4"And I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. 5But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him!
1Cor 4:3-5
3But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you or by a human court. In fact, I do not even judge myself. 4For I know of nothing against myself, yet I am not justified by this; but He who judges me is the Lord. 5Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each one's praise will come from God.
There is nothing hidden that will not be uncovered one day. Not only will our words and deeds be brought into the open, but even our motives and thoughts.
The story is told of three naughty boys who sent a telegram to three prominent, well-known persons, with the following words, 'Everything has come to light'. The first of these men, upon receiving this telegram, committed suicide. The second packed his bags, without telling his wife or children, and left with a plane to another country, permanently. The third disappeared and no one knows what happened to him.
To them it was terrible that what they were busy with had come to light.
However, we are not warned by a telegram, but by the Word of God, that everything will come to light.
We read in Hebrews 4:13
And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
In John 4 we read of the woman who met Jesus at the well, and after Jesus revealed her hidden secret sin, she ran into the city and proclaimed what He had done, and acknowledged Him as the Messiah. Be sure that you've met this Jesus, the Messiah, before whom your whole life is open.
1John 1:7
But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
If you hide your sin, you will not prosper, but if you bring it to the light, you will find mercy.
Fear Him who can put both body and soul in hell. This is the true Christmas message, that each one must turn to the Christ child, before whose eye everything is open.
