On Fear

The word fear has been mentioned 385 times in the Word of God. We need to fear God.
We grew up in wartime and we knew what fear was. Bombings were all around us. If the doorbell rang the soldiers would come in and take the men of the household. I looked up the word in the dictionary and it means fright, terror, horror panic, dread, dismay, scare, fearfulness, trembling, be afraid, be alarmed, and there are three words which I love, stand in awe.
We must stand in awe before the Almighty God. Do we really stand in awe before the Almighty God? Do we really see God for Who He is? Is God just someone up there that doesn't really realize what we are doing? Do we really fear Him as we ought to fear Him? We don't really see God for Who He is and that's why there are so many broken homes, so many divorces, so much rebellion, so much immorality, so much disrespect.
Let us stand in awe and fear God.
