Pastor Renata Acuña preaches at Global Peace and Love Ministries (Global PALM) about identity searching. From the time we are teenagers, we start to ask ourselves: who am I? We search for our identity in different things. This search doesn’t end as we become adults, or even in our senior yers. The reason for this is because our identity is not a static thing or a destination. Rather, we are constantly in a journey of finding ourselves. What identity is it that we strive to have: the one that we find in Christ or the one that the world offers us? At times, it may be tempting to gratify our earthly desires and wants. However, we must ask ourselves if it’s worth compromising our identity for temporary desires. We will be constantly attacked by the devil and we will doubt who we are at times. However, we should never compare ourselves to others and allow the enemy to compromise our beliefs.
