James opens his letter identifying himself as a bondservant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, writing to the scattered twelve tribes. He immediately sets the tone by urging believers to count trials as joy, because testing produces endurance that leads to maturity. We’re continuing our study through the letter of James.  In James 1:4–8, we learn that when we’re in the middle of hardship and don’t yet see the outcome, God tells us to ask Him for wisdom and He promises to give generously. But James warns us that double-mindedness keeps us unstable and unable to fully walk in faith. This study will challenge you to stop focusing on what you see and start living by what you know about God! Count it all joy!
