"David" is without a doubt one of the most striking characters in the entirety of the Bible. He was a man who saw higher heights and deeper lows possibly more than any other human being, at least one used by God, has ever seen.
It was through his family that the Messiah of Israel and the Saviour of the world would come. That's the reason the New Testament begins with "The Book of the Generation of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the Son of Abraham" (Mat 1:1).
In fact, "David" is the first human name given in the New Testament and the last human name given in the New Testament (Rev 22:16).
I believe this book will take you through the life of this great man, and that it will speak to your own experience with the Lord. As stated, there was none quite like "David." We begin to realize how great this man was when we hear the statement, as it refers to our Lord, "Jesus Christ, the Son of David."
Nothing could be higher than that!
