These Godless Men 'Ave Rushed fer Profit Inter Balaam's Error—Jude 11 - Booty and Treasures fer All!
(Jude 11) Lord, godless fellers and lasses ‘ave left the straight way and wandered off ter follow the way of Balaam—a rascal who loved the wages of wickedness so much that he got out-smarted by a donkey. “I have a few things against you: There are some among you who hold to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to entice the Israelites to sin and committed sexual immorality.” – Jesus (Revelation 2:14) Well we know from yer Word how Balaam advised the Midianite ladies ter lead fellers astray in sexual ways. Balaam be the example of how corrupt teachers seduce us with clever words, appeal ter our flesh, and trick us inter compromising with the world’s ways—inter teaching folks that what we do with our bodies be of no concern ter you.

They Have Been Destroyed in Korah’s Rebellion—Jude 11 - Booty and Treasures fer All!
Should ya find yerself amongst congregants where the spirit of Korah is at work, consider praying this prayer out loud. (Yes, we are all guilty of allowing heretics and unclean spirits to attack the Body of Christ.) Woe to them! They have taken the way of Cain; they have rushed for profit into Balaam’s […]

These Godless Fellers 'Ave Gone the Way of Cain—Jude 11 - Booty and Treasures fer All!
Your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground.” (Genesis 4:10) “The outcry is so great and their sin so grievous that I will go down and see if what they have done is as bad as the outcry that has reached me. Oh Lord, in the mighty name of Jesus we cast out all unclean spirits: all lying spirits, all wickedness, all who practice and promote evil acts in your name, all who bring pressure on our brothers and sisters to surrender to sin, who seek to break down the doors of your holy temple, which is our body. We repent fer destroying yer temple, our bodies and the bodies of the innocent, in order ter live “free” of yer constraints. Ter those who have gone the way of Cain and refuse ter repent, we agree with yer curse and declare they have no part of our fellowship, of our worship in your holy presence.

CSB Bible Project Update May 2023
Peek into the Project We love sharing sneak peeks into Nancy’s Bible Project. Here’s an inside look at an early draft from the book of Numbers: Numbers 16:23–50 God’s judgment against the rebel faction was earth-shattering and unmistakable. His glory that came down to deal with the disturbance (v. 42, see 16:19) invoked dread and fear. Yet even in the midst of judgment, His mercy was showcased as well. As a deathly plague began spreading among the people, Moses and Aaron rushed again to intercede, to make atonement for them, because wrath has come from the Lord (v. 46). In response to their fervent prayers, God halted the plague (vv. 48, 50), leaving everyone in awe of this holy, merciful God. This isn’t the last time we’ll see references to Korah and his descendants in the Bible. In Jude 11, “those who perished in Korah’s rebellion” are set forth as a solemn warning of the eternal judgment that awaits all those who reject God’s authority and influence others to do so. And in this revolt and the devastating judgment that followed, there is yet a glimmer of grace. Generations after this incident, the prophet Samuel came from the surviving line of Korah; in the time of King David, descendants of Korah served as gatekeepers in the tabernacle and in its music and worship (1 Chron 9:17–21; 16:4–6, 37–42); and eleven of the psalms in our OT scriptures are attributed to the Sons of Korah. Make It Personal: If you are pressing against God’s boundaries, be warned. It will not end well for you, or for those who follow your example. But if your family line includes those who have forsaken the Lord and stirred up rebellion against Him, know that their failures do not have to define you. You and your offspring can still be blessed and be a blessing in His service.
