The narrative, which had been interrupted by this parenthesis relating to John the Baptist, is now taken up again. The apostles . This is the only place where St. Mark calls them apostles. In the parallel passage, St. Luke ( Luke 9:10 ) says that they told him all that they had done. St. Mark adds, with more detail, and whatsoever ( ὅσα ) they had taught .
