Joshua 19:1. The second lot came forth to Simeon God disposed it so by an especial providence, Simeon being the eldest son of Jacob that was unprovided for. The inheritance of Simeon was taken out of the portion of Judah, which proved on experience to be larger than the numbers of that tribe required.
