The land is full of adulterers - Of idolaters. Of persons who break their faith to ME, as an impure wife does to her husband. The pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up - He speaks here, most probably, in reference to dearth. Mine heart within me is broken because of the prophets - The first word of this clause is לנבאים lannebiim , which we incorporate with the whole clause, and translate, "Because of the prophets."
