ABNER’S REVOLT, 2 Samuel 3:7-21. 7. Wherefore hast thou… my father’s concubine Whether or not Abner was guilty of this charge is not clear, but at least King Ishbosheth’s suspicion was aroused, and he made the charge. Such an act, according to eastern notions, would have been one of shameless disrespect to the memory of Saul, and indicate a design to gain the crown.
