17. As sheep that have not a shepherd Appropriate simile of a people that have lost their king, and so a prophecy of the fall of Ahab and the dispersion of his army. 1Ki 22:16 And the king said unto him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou tell me nothing but [that which is] true in the name of the LORD? Ver. 16.
