In this chapter we have,

(1,) A general charge brought against Israel for those crimes by which they had obstructed the course of God’s favours to them, Hosea 7:1 , Hosea 7:2 .

(2,) A particular accusation of the court, the kings, princes, and Judges , vv3-7. Of the country for various sins and follies, which are particularly mentioned, and for which they are threatened with a severe chastisement to humble them; and if that should not have its desired effect, with utter destruction, particularly of their princes, Hosea 7:8-16 .
