In this chapter our Lord, continuing his discourse, enforces his exhortation to watchfulness, and a perpetual readiness for Christ’s coming.

(1,) By the parable of the ten virgins, Matthew 25:1-13 .

(2,) By the parable of the talents, which were delivered to three servants, Matthew 25:14-30 .

(3,) By a more plain representation of the last judgment, calculated to promote a constant readiness to receive our final sentence and everlasting portion, Matthew 25:31-46 .
