Here,
(1,) The apostle shows that the gospel, far from dissolving our obligations to practical holiness, greatly increases them; a consideration tending highly to recommend it to the esteem and acceptance of all, Romans 6:1-11 .
(2,) He urges on the believers at Rome, to whom he wrote, that holiness, to which they were so strongly obliged by the gospel, Romans 6:12-23 .
