Genesis 11:12-13 - Exposition

And Arphaxad lived five and thirty years , and begat Salah . Shalach , literally, emission, or the sending forth, of water, a memorial of the Flood (Bochart); or of an arrow or dart ( vide Genesis 10:24 ). A nd Arphaxad lived after he begat Salah four hundred and three years , and begat sons and daughters .
