7. Might dispute נוכח , pleads, the Niphal form of the verb. With the same preposition, עם , the Hiphil form is also rendered plead in Job 16:21, which see. The passage before us reads, literally, A righteous one there pleads with Him, which, to say the least, “suggests the thought of the Great Intercessor.
