Emblem in Christian art associated with Saint Dorothy and Saint Rose of Lima, both being represented also with a crown of roses, Saint Dorothy by reason of her miraculously posthumous gift of roses and the resulting conversion. Thus she is sometimes erroneously confused with Saints Rosa and Rosalia.
