The opening summons, or prayer, of the Divine Office, calling on all who recite it to adore and praise God with joy. It is the antiphon to Psalms 94, which is divided into five parts. The antiphon is repeated entire, twice before the first part, once after parts 1,3, 5; its second part only after 2,4; in part and then entire after the "Gloria Patri."
