Confessor, born Fontcouverte, France, 1597; died at La Louvesc, France, 1640. He entered the Society of Jesus, 1616, and was ordained, 1630. Gifted with a marvelous talent for missions, he labored for the conversion of the Huguenots, assisted the needy, and aided in the rescue of wayward women.
