A congregation of black sisters following the Rule of Saint Augustine, founded in 1842 under the direction of Father Etienne Rousselon for work among their own race. The order conducts schools, homes, and orphanages, in the United States and British Honduras. The mother-house is at New Orleans, Louisiana.
