"to lay up, store up," is rendered "in store" (lit., "storing"), with a view to help a special case of need, 1—Corinthians 16:2; said of the heavens and earth in 2—Peter 3:7 , RV, "have been stored up (for fire)," marg., "stored (with fire)," AV, "kept in store (reserved unto fire)." "to treasure up, store away" (apo), is used in 1—Timothy 6:19 , of "laying up in store" a good foundation for the hereafter by being rich in good works.
