The important events at the encampment at Mount Sinai were:
- The people entered into a covenant with the Lord (Exodus 19:1-8 ).
- The people and priests were sanctified (Exodus 19:9-25 ).
- The ten commandments were proclaimed (Exodus 19:1-25; Exodus 20:1-17; Deuteronomy 5:1-22 ).
- The people were greatly frightened by the voice of the Lord and Requested Moses to speak to them (Exodus 20:18-21 ).
- Moses, accompanied part of the way by Joshua and others, retired Into the mountain, where he spent forty days and nights with the Lord (Exodus 24:1,2,9-18 ).

- The second Passover was observed (Numbers 9:1-15 ).

- The princes made their offerings (Numbers 7:1-9 ).
- The people were numbered (Numbers 1:1-46 ).

Ashley Johnson was the founder and president of the School of Evangelists in 1893 (renamed Johnson Bible College in 1909). He was an evangelist, teach and author. Ashley Johnson wrote at least 20 books between 1881 and 1903.He and his wife, Emma Elizabeth Strawn planted churches and encouraged exisiting ministries while starting a correspondence Bible school with thousands of students. After realizing he wanted to educate and train preachers, he founded the School of Evangelists in 1893. After he died, the school was renamed Johnson Bible College. He authored many volumes including: The Internal Spirit, His Word and Works, Moses or Christ Which? The Life of Trust, Debate with a Baptist and many others.In all there are 57 articles including topics such as Abram, Creation, the Exodus, the Hebrew Calendar, the kingdoms of Israel and Judah, the Law, the Sabbath and feasts, the Twelve Apostles and Worship.
