Albert De Argentina was theologian of the bishop of Strasburg in the 14th century. About 1378 he composed a History, from the beginning of the house of Hapsburg to the death of Charles IV, A.D. 1270 to 1378 (imperfect by Cuspinian, Basle, 1553, 1569). Christianus Urstitius gave it entire in his Scriptores Germanici (Frankf. 1670, 2, 97). Albert also wrote a Life o'Bertholdus, Bishop of Strasburg and Spires. John McClintock was born October 27, 1814 in Philadelphia to Irish immigrants, John and Martha McClintock. He began as a clerk in his father's store, and then became a bookkeeper in the Methodist Book Concern in New York. Here he converted to Methodism and considered joining the ministry.
