Berardi, Timoteo an Italian theologian of the order of Carmelites, a native of Genoa, was bishop of Noli in 1588, and died in 1616. He wrote, Declamationes Panegyricce de Sacra Fide et de Romano Pontifice; also some small philosophical and theological treatises. See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. Gen., s.v.

John McClintock was born October 27, 1814 in Philadelphia to Irish immigrants, John and Martha McClintock. He began as a clerk in his father's store, and then became a bookkeeper in the Methodist Book Concern in New York. Here he converted to Methodism and considered joining the ministry.
