Brown, Aaron a Congregational minister, was born at Windsor, Connecticut, May 3, 1725. He graduated at Yale College in 1749, was ordained in 1754 at Killingly, and remained in charge there until his death, which occurred suddenly at Ashford, September 12, 1775. John McClintock was born October 27, 1814 in Philadelphia to Irish immigrants, John and Martha McClintock. He began as a clerk in his father's store, and then became a bookkeeper in the Methodist Book Concern in New York. Here he converted to Methodism and considered joining the ministry.
