Busee, Peter a Dutch theologian of the Jesuit order, brother of Johannes, was born about 1540. He was professor of Hebrew at Vienna, where he died in 1587. He wrote, Opus Catechisticum, sive Summa Doctrince Christianace Petri Canistii (Cologne, 1577). See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. Generale, s.v.

John McClintock was born October 27, 1814 in Philadelphia to Irish immigrants, John and Martha McClintock. He began as a clerk in his father's store, and then became a bookkeeper in the Methodist Book Concern in New York. Here he converted to Methodism and considered joining the ministry.
